Role Overview:

‍We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of roofing systems, construction safety practices, and related trades.

This role involves working on residential, commercial, and industrial roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. The Journeyman Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing materials while collaborating with the project manager, crew members, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and replace roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements
  • Measure and cut materials accurately for proper fit and finish
  • Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely on-site
  • Apply caulking, sealants, and other weatherproofing techniques to ensure roof integrity
  • Coordinate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to facilitate seamless project execution when needed
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Assist in construction estimating for roofing projects when required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements & Skills

  • Driver's License Required
  • At least three years of experience as a Journeyman Roofer or in a similar construction role with a focus on roofing systems
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roof installation, roof systems, roof repair, time management, and safety equipment
  • Experience with related trades such as framing, stucco application, and gutter installation
  • Familiarity with all types of roof systems and ladder safety
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on various roof structures
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols
